Our Learning Program
DET students undertake a program that is designed for their individual needs and circumstances by DET teachers.
Typically, parents and carers play a critical role in a DET student’s learning program by providing supervision, support and encouragement, and by working closely with DET teachers.
Our curriculum is delivered using:
- telephones
- the internet, especially Centra software
- home visits
- email
- printed materials
- curriculum days in the south, north and north-west
- student and family visits to our school
- camps and residentials
