Distance Education Tasmania offers five services.
K- 10 School
For students who meet criteria relating to:
- isolation
- illness
- travel
- inability to work within a classroom
- pregnancy
Registration Program
Clusters and schools can register students. This enables access to DET’s teachers and education programs on a fee-for-service basis.
Education in Hospital
DET teachers are based at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Launceston General Hospital, providing a range of services to students throughout Tasmania who are ill.
Home Education Support Service
Families registered with the Tasmanian Home Education Advisory Council (THEAC) can access our learning resources on a fee-for-service basis.
